The 8th annual Great American Barbecue & Beer Festival returns on Saturday, March 25, 2017 to fill the downtown Chandler air with the sweet aroma of finger licking good grub. This year will be the biggest and best year yet with country superstar, Easton Corbin set to headline the entertainment, expanded event zones, and over 60 BBQ and food vendors from across the nation serving up over 20,000 lbs of mouth-watering BBQ paired with 200 kegs of the state’s finest craft beer from SanTan Brewing Company.

The Windy City is coming to the desert on April 1 at The Duce during Wrigley Central, a free Wrigleyville-inspired tailgate. From 11 a.m. to midnight, The Duce will pack its 15,000 square foot grownup playground, bar and eatery with Chicago-style food, drinks and fun for Cubs die-hards and Chicagophiles. “You don’t have to be a baseball fan to appreciate the fun vibe and energy of Wrigleyville. There’s just nothing like it,” said owner and Chicago native Steve Rosenstein. “We’re bringing Chicago all-stars to The Duce for a day so Phoenicians can indulge in everything great about the Windy City.”
Legendary Chicago pizzeria Lou Malnati’s, now with a location at Camelback Road and Central Avenue in Phoenix, will hand-make its famous deep dish pizza from scratch on site and load them into one of 12 pizza ovens they will have at the event. Crescent Crown will serve up its own taste of Chicago – Old Style beer. An authentic Chicago hot dog joint, a Prairie Vodka lemonade stand and a Gary Poppins Gourmet Popcorn stand will keep the party fueled as patrons dance to a live DJ, participate in an all-day cornhole tournament and pick up one-of-a-kind merchandise at the Cubs vintage clothing shop. A portion of Wrigley Central’s food, drink and retail proceeds will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

The Great Southwest Cajun Fest, brought to you by Abita Brewing, is set to return on Saturday, April 22, from noon – 9 p.m. in downtown Chandler. Showcasing the heart and soul of New Orleans paired with Arizona fusion and flavor for a full day packed with cultural festivities, food and entertainment.
Southwest Cajun Fest celebrates Cajun culture, cuisine and handcrafted beer, and will feature live music with jazz, blues and contemporary swing revival bands. Festival patrons will feel transported to the southeastern region of Louisiana during the Cajun Fest.
The festival will feature live entertainment and a variety of food vendors serving up regional dishes. Festivities also includes themed zones such as Bourbon Street, French Quarter, Garden District and more. Patrons of all ages are encouraged to dress in festive parade style attire and join in on the fun and celebration. Eating competitions include watermelon, Cajun wings and crawfish.

7th annual AmeriCAN Canned Craft Beer Festival is expanding to a new location this year at the Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix. With so much more room for activities and centrally located in the heart of Phoenix, the new location will allow for more beer, food, and fun.
Celebrating the canned craft beer revolution, AmeriCAN is set for Saturday, May 13th from noon – 6 p.m. Featuring more than 250 canned craft beers from over 100 local and national breweries across 40 states, including beers not previously available in the state of Arizona. Other highlights include live music, food, a beer science garden, seminars, beer Olympic games and a rare beer garden.
AmeriCAN isn’t just a festival, it’s also a competition! The week before the festival, more than 40 certified craft beer judges will gather to taste and vote for their favorites in nine categories including IPA, American Pale Ale, English Pale Ale, Wheat Beers, Stouts and Porters, Ambers and Browns, Golds, Blondes, Pilsners and Light Lagers, Fruit, and Specialty Beer.
