Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour. One of the best craft cocktail bars in town. Ross Simon and his team have launched fourth Book O-Cocktails. This one is fairytales-inspired and it’s the best one yet (in my opinion)! The menu debuted May 2nd and you really need to experience it for yourself to fully understand how amazing it is.
Besides the cocktails and food available on the menu, the menu itself is AMAZING. The artwork is so creative integrating class children’s books with the cocktail menu. The menus will be available for $20 retail as a collector’s item. The menu is divided into chapters each with its unique theme and artwork. Let’s Get Cookin features 9 new cocktails.
The menu includes popular favorites from the past. Mixing Under the Influencer, Bitter Hall of Fame is a list of their top 5 most popular Bitter & Twisted creations. The Top 10 Tales Ever Told is a list of 10 popular classics. Old Fashioned is their best selling cocktail. I can say that personally, I have contributed to its number one status. Other chapters include Fabulous Flying Negronis for the Negronis fans, Friends with Benefits inspired by cocktail bars around the world, Luminous Libations for those who love the bubbles, and Let Them Drink Punch.

With the new menu, Chef Bob Tam has created some amazing new dishes to add to their lineup. I sampled the Shrimp and Grits, Umami Fries, and a signature salad.
I highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. I didn’t know I enjoyed grits. These were creamy and tasty. And the shrimp, scrumptious. Tender, lightly fried, with a tasty sauce, sesame seeds and green onions. Loved the salad with its varied textures and crunches – that’s not cheese on top but shaved dried shrimp along with avocado, shiitake mushrooms, puffed rice and goji berries. The Umami Fries were topped with barbacoa, a cheesy sauce and shichimi.
