Sam Fox’s latest restaurant, Doughbird, opens Tuesday March 28th. Located at 44th and Camelback, the restaurants offers a casual atmosphere. We sat at the bar – love watching the hustle and bustle of the kitchen creating their dishes or the mixing of the cocktails. The bar stools were so comfortable – this says a lot, how many bar stools are too small or no backs??
Something for everyone. The chicken is perfectly cooked. And comes with a choice of sides and sauces. I don’t know about you, but I love a sauce on the side so I can control the level of flavor.
horseradish, crème fraiche, jamaican jerk marmalade, jalapeño pesto, cucumber feta yogurt, roasted bone broth, chipotle barbeque, pineapple teriyaki, spicy buffalo hot sauce, umami sauce
I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with chipotle barbecue sauce, and asparagus & broccolini side.
My friend order the halibut, fish of the day, which was also perfectly cooked with the hummus & marinated tomatoes side that EVERYONE was raving about. There is more than pizza and chicken. Something for everyone.
Pizzas, so many delicious options on the menu. I will be back soon to try the pizza.
Brussels Sprout – melted sweet potato, glazed bacon, smoked mozzarella, pistachio
Barbeque Beef – charred corn, red onion, jalapeño pesto, goat cheese
Bacon & Truffled Eggs – fennel sausage, roasted onion, smoked mozzarella, arugula
Drinks? of course. Wine, beer and cocktails. Rose for me…my latest passion (don’t worry, I haven’t given up cocktails…)
The cocktails all sounded wonderful. Bourbon and Bells was perfect with just a bit of kick.
What better way to end the evening than with Peach Cobbler Pie. Scrumptious, flavorful but not too sweet.
