Scottsdale’s newest craft cocktail bar, Bitters, opened this week so I had to go check it out. Bitters is located in Sky Song in the south part of Scottsdale. Erika Rode is the owner behind Bitters – I was impressed with her enthusiasm for the craft culture and it is evident by the bar’s offerings. Chef Ehren Litzenberger dazzles with creating masterpieces on a small plate.
Cocktails, Beer, and Wine
Small Plates, Popcorn, Desserts
The cocktail list is amazing. I ordered the Bitter Sweet. Perfection. Templeton Rye Whiskey, Sherry, vanilla, locally owned AZ Bitters Mos Mole, Orange. Definitely going back soon to try a few others on the menu.
Hungry? the menu is a mix of small plates, popcorn, and desserts. Not your normal bar food – chef created dishes full of flavor. Perfect for a bite to go along with your drink.
Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna – Cucumber salad, soy caramel.
Crab Cake – Hand-picked Lump crab, lemon, herbs, pineapple Siracha aioli, shaved kale salad, lemon vinaigrette, apple.
Kale Chips -Toasted garlic and Sirachia aioli.
Short Rib – Red wine braised with soft cheddar polenta.
Satay – Thin-sliced beef, marinated and grilled with crispy onions, Devil’s Breath, and chimichurri sauce. (those onions OMG so tasty!)
Craft Popcorn, not your regular ole bar popcorn –
Honey Hot – Popped to order, curry dust, honey hot, pomegranates, and goat cheese drizzle.
Arizona – Popped to order, tajin, cilantro lime salt, and queso fresco.
want something sweet?
Definitely, a must to check out. Bitters welcome to our local craft cocktail scene!
