Dreaming of vacations in Mexico. Today I was supposed to be leaving for 6 day trip to #puertovallarta staying at the @marriotthotels Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa. This trip is cancelled for now, but I will make it there hopefully later this year 🍹🧉☀️🌴. It’s warming up here in Phoenix so I’m thinking cocktails poolside. Keep planning your vacations and fill in the dates later.

My last flight was March 2nd returning home from a southern California trip for @disneyland’s opening of the Food and Wine Festival. Disney was still packed although my flight home was a little emptier than normal. I really noticed the difference when I went to pick up my car from offsite parking and it was more than half empty. Then I stopped at a normally packed store on the way home and it was pretty empty (it wasnt a grocery store which has been packed since). .

Today i cancelled my second planned trip. My first was a trip to London and Paris for last week. Today I cancelled my #puertovallarta trip for 4/1. @delta, @costco travel, @marriotthotels and @eurostar trains have all been great with refunds and credits. Still fighting with one hotel booking site for a refund but hoping that will be resolved soon. .

Have you had to cancel your travels? I’m still planning future trips but right now exact dates are on hold. Also support the tourism industry as much as I can as a blogger. We will travel again but for now its best to just stay home.

Its a strange time right now and we’re all trying to figure it out. We’re practicing #socialdistancing but that doesn’t mean you have to stay cooped up in the house all day. Weather is perfect right now and I think a dose of fresh air will help to keep us all healthy #azwinter. Editing to add, PLEASE dont going hiking in the crowded trails. We went before the trails got packed. If you do go, please find a path that is mostly empty and keep your distance from those you see. The parks and lakes were packed this weekend and that is only making the situation worse. .

While we are isolating, please remember to support your local businesses. Shop online from your favorite small shop. Order take out or purchase gift cards from your favorite restaurant.
